I had forgotten how much sadness and fear can characterise passion. Longing is painful like nipple piercings, hurting deeply, but carrying deep pleasure. I have trouble staying here right now. I feel as if I might simply disappear for a while.

It might just be me, but the NY Post photo of Kerry and Gephardt really looks like Kerry is about to take Gephardt in his arms and give him a passionate kiss.
