Hastings

Today is the anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, the beginning of a series of atrocities against my people. There are few out there who still harbor bitterness over this, but we few who do, think this is a pretty crappy day overall.

I'm with you, man...

In honor of this date, I shall use the word 'regualar' instead of 'normal'. Kinda like not wearing orange, I suppose.
Those cunning dogs, infiltrating our language.

Your people...you mean horses? Yeah, that invention of the stirrup ensured that you would be enslaved for eternity. Damn the Normans and their technologies of control!

That far back, with UK heritage, there's almost certainly Norman blood in you. But deciding what you'll be bitter about at least gives some measure of control, since you then won't be bitter about other things that you might otherwise be bitter about.
