drydemY'know, as a folklorist who specializes in the cultural frame of reference, I sometimes want to whip out a sledgehammer and break down the nearest wall when someone asks me to sign my "John Henry" somewhere. I hate correcting people on folkloric topics, because of academic "objectivity" issues I deal with, but it's totally a pet peeve of mine.
