I suppose that there are those out there who don't really know me. I have been one of those but right now I have a good understanding of who I am and so I will expound on this, assuming that if you are reading my journal you have some interest in who I am.
I am a believer. fundamentally, I believe. There are very few things that I dismiss as fundamentally impossible. Some of the things that I believe most strongly in are: Love(universal, personal, erotic, fraternal...), Magic(I believe that there is far more than has been categorized about the world), Equality(everyone is equally deserving of love and respect)
These are the fundamentals of what I believe. All in all a major part of what makes me me. There are plenty of minor things like ether theory or astrology that I put some stock in, but fundamentally, it boils down to those three.
I try to live my life according to the Wiccan Rede and assuming that the best solution to any problem is the action that will lead to the most long term happiness of the most people. I try every day to make someone understand more or be happier. When I don't do this, I feel bad.
I am emotional. I have very powerful emotions that affect the way I live my life. Sometimes, this gets me into trouble. Sometimes, I regret being so deeply involved in the world around me. But not often.
I have a good idea what the meaning of life is: enjoyment. I think that life is meant to be enjoyed, not just by me or you but by everybody. Everybody has the right to strive for enjoyment and hopefully, in the end, everybody will. I think that most of the problems in the world come from the misunderstanding that everyone should be happy, not just us. I try to do things I enjoy and help others find things that they enjoy.
I think that one of the most powerful things in the world is unmediated connection between individuals. Like in Grosse Pointe Blank when John Cusack just looks the baby in the eyes and understands. I think that truly connecting with someone is a step towards perfection.
