I came to a realization recently. I had wondered for a long time why I had never been in a relationship with someone that I was interested in beforehand. I now know why. I am incredibly boring around people that I am interested in. Now I'm not entirely sure I'm not boring other times, but I realized that around people who I am interested in I take no risks, lose my spontanaeity and become a nice, but boring, person. That's about the sum of it. I have the tendency of only being interesting to people that I'm not interested in.
