So, House of Fools hopefully begins this weekend, assuming people make some characters. This likely means you. Character creation can be done through e-mail or Instant Messenger, and follows the standard rules in the Mage tabletop books with the following exceptions.
1. All characters have 6/4/3 for starting attributes and 13/9/5 for starting abilities.
2. backgrounds are the same with the exception that influences are being done a la Minds Eye Theatre.

Currently I am looking for primarily hedge mages and consors, through I have room for some mages as well. Contacting me early means more likelihood of these possibilities being open.

There are the following factions established in the game.
Tibetan: Akhashics based around the tibetan community in Bloomington, led(in a sense) by Mike U. This faction could use some consors or hedge mages, individuals linked by ethnicity or philosophy to the tibetan community: examples include restauranteurs, religion/philosophy students or Buddhist activists.

Restaurant: this faction is based around a bar opened in the location of the now defunct Verbena/Hermetic Chantry in town. This could use a true mage, preferably Arete 2 or less or a hedge mage, individuals linked by history or vocation to the Restaurant: examples include chefs, musicians, bartenders, sommeliers, or simply individuals who help maintain the building or research the death of the node that existed within.

High Society: this faction is based around the household of a rich Euthanatos played by Eric L. This could use an inexperienced mage, arete 1, apprentice type, as well as some quirky household servants in the southern gothic style: examples include the Wednesday Addams apprentice, the superstitious gardener, the uncannily strong butler, the house fortuneteller.

High School: the faction of high schoolers based around a Hollow One clique led by Shanna J. This faction could use a consor or two and maybe another hedge mage or two: examples include the hyper intelligent geek, the tagalong younger sibling with an uncanny knack for stealth or the goth who inherited a book of spells from his/her grandparent.

Street: A faction of individuals who are tied to the lower classes of Bloomington Society. This faction could use a consor or two as well as another mage and another hedge mage: examples include the prophetic homeless man, the dreamspeaker who speaks to the spirits of the city or the community activist with a bent towards the uncanny.

University: the final faction involves Mages associated with Indiana University. This is primarily a scientific faction with a sort of academic brotherhood feel, sharing information with peers. This faction could use a mage or two and a hedge mage or two as well as a consor or three: examples include the research subject, the ambitious grad student looking to get ahead, or the tortured genius science professor.

These are the factions. Please try to find your way into them, they are the anchors of the game's social interactions.
