Added this one to my memories for further reflection. In many ways I feel that you've helped to present a distilled and easily digested (and therefore attractive) presentation of the woman's role in patriarchy.
I liked in particular your reference to the possible role/purpose of concealing the female form as well as your comments on the Tarot's Wand/Staff/Rod ... which leads me back to DnD as everything seems to these days. This occurs at a very appropriate time as I am constructing a new game world which includes a Lawful Good culture which is a patriarchical theocracy. I've been wrestling with how to do this and still have it be lawful /good/
