The Ironic Project

I have embarked on a writing project based on a pet peeve of mine. So many people criticize Alanis Morrisette's mid 90's hit Ironic for not displaying irony. This makes me want to cover them in green slime or speak with the voice of god, causing their head to explode. Thus, I embark on the Ironic project, a set of 10 flash fiction pieces based on the lyrics of Alanis' song, explaining how expanded to a fuller story, each of the lyrical situations can properly be conceived of as ironic.

Are you going to post them? I think spending a load of time and effort expounding on a topic in order to teach certain yay-hoos a lesson, telling them about the lesson and then not sharing the stories with them would be ironic. Or something. ;) Or perhaps you're just not linking them to this post?

You know I'm just messing with you, right? I came to your journal thinking there might be a recent entry regarding the consents. But being too lazy to look further than the last couple of entries, I posted it as a reply to your comment regarding e-consent. I am not in Indiana, so if they're going to insist upon hard copy, you'll have to mail it.

Sounds like an interesting study. I've seen a lot of bizarre icons out there and would certainly read an article about what that tells us about people specifically and the computer-society in general.......
