What's going on with you? I don't necessarily mean a day-by-day synopsis, but what's shakin' in the world of BEn? requested by gollumgollum
In a general sense, I've got a few things right now that are major parts of my life.
1. job stuff for next year. I've turned in all my materials at this point and now I'm pretty much waiting to hear back from people and hopefully start interviewing. It's nerve wracking, but hopefully by the end of it I'll be employed.
2. dissertation. I've gotten a little stalled up with some technical difficulties, but I'm aiming to be back on track with it in the next few weeks once I get my new laptop and can work without a power outlet again. Plus, I should hopefully get some interview subjects this next weekend when I'm in Salem for Halloween and the Witches Ball.
3. games. I'm a bit overwhelmed with Serenity stuff, which is getting problematic. Classwork and conferences are keeping me busy and crazy which has prevented me being able to actually sort through stuff.
4. conferences. This semester has been crazy with conference travel for me, last weekend I was at the American Studies Association conference, this coming weekend, I'll be at the American Folklore Society conference.
In all, life is crazy hectic without a break in sight, but at least things are happening.
