I finally figured out an appropriate yet witty title for my dissertation, which is a vital aspect of any academic project. Given that my dissertation is about truth in historical discourse, the use of Salem as an allegory for American juridical history and the examination of American identity in narrative my title is
"Truth, Justice and the American Way: Structure, Narrative and Nation in Tourist Performances in Salem, MA"
