I practice M&Momancy. Whenever I eat a bag of M&Ms I examine the color distribution based on the formula from my youth. The order of ausipciousness is as follows
Red/Blue-meaningless/inauspicious
Brown-vaguely decent
Orange-somewhat auspicious
Yellow-reasonably auspicous
Green-Very auspicious.
I eat them in a certain order and consider it to be as much of an omen as anything else in the world. It's quirky, maybe even weird, bordering on downright crazy, but it's something I do.

ohmygod, i just totally got reminded of this great story/sketch my friend erin wrote for our advanced creative writing class in high school, about m&ms. it's hilarious; remind me to find it for you sometime. (or perhaps if i get bored someday, i'll post it on my lj.)
