A decision has been made, at least a temporary one, to begin refering to people using definite articles. THose who may object may register a complaint now.
Not exactly a complaint, but won't you run out of definate articles and end up getting people confused? I mean, there are only so many definate articles. Sooner or later two people are BOTH going to end up being referred to as "this" or "that." Might be better to broaden out to articles in general -- you'll still have overlap, but at least you'll have more variety.
But then I suppose you might be accused of playing favorites between the definate and indefinate gangs:
The Definate Gang!
Alyc = The David = That Kate = These Tanya = Those
The Indefinate Gang!
Sara = A Jen = An Brenton = Some (etc)
This could break out into gang warfare, Romeo and Juliet style -- bad news man, think about what you're doing here!
I'm guessing that he doesn't mean definite articles all on their own -- more that you'd be "the David." Of course, this becomes problematic with you Davids and Bens and Michaels, since "the" implies that there's only one. Clearly, some of you have to get your names changed.
