So, in case any of you are wondering how I'm doing, here's a quick update

• I am preparing my reading list. This involves a lot of time spent at Soma and elsewhere reading books and articles. However, I'm feeling a lot smarter, like I'm starting to put everything together in my mind and reach good conclusions.
  
• I am missing prosewitch. She is out of town until late August and this has left a bit of a void in my life. I don't have enough academic conversation or quality food in my life right now. I'm dealing with it fine, though more people coming to hang out at Serenity would help me.
  
• I have started to pack in anticipation of my move across the street. I am hoping to be totally ready when I get the opportunity to move in, which might be as early as the first week of August.
  
• I am getting ready to run a tabletop game that I hope will work well. I am worried by certain things, as I have had games fail in the past, but I'm hoping this will go well, as I have a good group of players.
  
• I am brainstorming a screenplay based on the last Anglo-Saxon King of England. It's pretty awesome overall.
  
• I am deep in the process of considering what I will do in terms of LARPs. I have wrapped up the Mage game and need to decide whether I want to run more LARPs. I've had pretty bad attendance in the past, and I'm thinking of discarding the traditional model of running LARPs and experimenting with location, event and resource management.
  
• I'm hungry.

Good luck with the reading list. I'm allegedly at the same stage right now, although conference prep is gobbling more time than it should... As for LARPing, I'm sorry to hear you wrapped the mage game, tho I'm curious as to what a "location, event and resource management" experiment would look like.
